Kicks for Kids
We will be collecting new pairs of shoes for the children of Webster Springs, WV this month. On December 5th and 6th people from FCC will be traveling to Webster Springs to hand out Christmas gifts and meet the needs of the people. One of their major needs is new shoes for kids. So, this is what we are encouraging you to do: Go and buy a pair of shoes (in the size you wear) and bring them to church by November 30th. We will then send these new shoes to Webster Springs in December. No one is asking you to purshase super expensive shoes. Quality shoes can be purchased at low prices (Gabriel Brothers, Value City, Steve & Berry’s (you can pruchase bastketball shoes there for around $9) K-Mart etc.) The point is to purchase shoes that you would be willing to wear. Please consider helping these kids. They wear flip-flops in the snow because they have to. ![]()

::Frequency with God:: Your True Identity
Here’s something that was said Sunday during our teaching time: when you sin, it’s not that you’re doing the wrong thing, you’re being the wrong person.
Think about this:
Ephesians 5:21
21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Because of Jesus, you can be seen as righteous before God…even though your actions are sometimes no where near righteous. So, if you have a relationship with Jesus, things have been made right between you and God. Basically, if you know Jesus, that’s who you are — righteous. My identity is this: I have been created by God and He labeled me as “very good.” Then, because of what Jesus did on the cross and because of the fact that the tomb is empty, I am seen as righteous and completely forgiven before God…and if you have given your life to Jesus, you’re viewed the same way. That’s our identity. That’s who we truly are. That’s completely hard to understand. So, instead of me writing a long message on this, let’s just talk about it. What are your thoughts about being seen as righteous before God? What do you think about sinning basically just meaning that you’re being the wrong person, not necessarily doing the wrong thing? Let the conversation begin.
Dan
